Jacqueline is 37-year-old mother and wife who developed headaches.
"My head is heavy and it hurts all the time"
Her Pain
She explains to her gynecologist that she suffers from daily throbbing, head pain that prevents her from exercising and working her usual hours.
Jacqui’s headache pain was severe. She had a stressful event the evening prior with her family, and subsequently, Jacqui woke up early with sudden and persistent weakness in her right arm and hand.
An ambulance transported her to the local hospital for evaluation, where she received a CAT scan of her head. Her head scan revealed a brain tumor in the frontal lobe.
Her Brain Tumor
Her brain studies showed a common type of neural tumor called a meningioma. She had two related conditions that may have increased her risk of developing a neural tumor.
Jacqui was diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer three years prior to our first encounter. Additionally, she suffered a head trauma event while skiing 6 years prior.

Meningiomas represent a large portion of brain tumors. They are called primary brain tumors because they come directly from the brain tissue. Meningiomas are twice as common in women than men. When they grow large enough or put pressure on certain parts of the brain, they can cause pain in the head, as well as weakness, problems walking, and bladder changes.
Her Plan

Jacqueline's neural recovery plan consisted of an advanced surgical technique performed by the neurosurgical team to remove her tumor.
Before and after her surgery, she utilized a customized neural sensory plan to help lessen her pain cycles and anxiety.
Jacqueline learned to assess what the impact of her medications on her nervous system and discovered ways to reduce her medications.
